Hi friends! Kelly here from Sweet Sounds of Kindergarten. I am here today to share with you one of my favorite ideas for my classroom this school year! I absolutely cannot take complete credit for this great idea.. it was my fabulous teammate! And because of her, my whole team now does this in each of our rooms. Here it is friends...
The magnetic towel bar anchor chart holder:
That's right! A magnetic towel bar! It comes with the magnets, and stays perfectly on the board. It can hold a lot of weight too! I have absolutely loved using it for the first two weeks of the school year. It sits on my whiteboard right in the front of the room. All I have to do is hole punch my charts and stick them on binder rings, and I'm good to go! I bought my towel rod on Amazon. Click on the picture below to check it out!
I was so excited about my new towel rod that I hurried to get some of my newest anchor charts laminated so that I could hang them up. Well, one of them had a lot of small pieces and got a little "bent out of shape" as it went through the machine! Whoops! That always frustrates me so much!!
My favorite quick and easy solution for when that happens is to hot glue ribbon on top of the lamination to fix the goof! Super easy, and very cute :)
The anchor chart above is part of my newest writing pack: Super Star Sentence. It is FULL of writing templates, games, anchor charts, and rubrics. I am really excited with how it turned out! One of my favorite parts is this clip it game with ending marks. I know that my kiddos will love to use clothespins to clip the correct punctuation!
Check out this unit on TPT here:
The ribbon is such a cute idea for fixing mistakes in the laminator. Thanks for sharing that fun (and cute) tip!

ReplyDeleteFirst, the comment deleted above is mine... I was logged in as TPP and didn't realize it. So sorry!! I absolutely love your magnetic curtain rod idea - super inexpensive and easy to use! And I love that I'm not the only perfectionist around who is severely bothered by lamination wrinkles. Ribbon would work perfectly to cover those imperfections while making the chart even cuter! Great ideas!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for the towel bar tip. It's on my wish list for B2S Night & I can't wait for someone to snag it up for me to try it out.
ReplyDeleteA grasping magnificently composed blog. Really a present for its gathering of people.
