Awesome post Elyse! I love how organized your classroom & students are. These are fantastic tips for new teachers & refreshers for veteran teachers. GREAT! xoxo
This was an awesome post, Elyse! Those clothespins on the baskets and Velcro on the flap of the envelopes is GENIUS! I also do a home reading program and have always used bags, but I am pretty sure I will switch to envelopes now! Thanks for the tips!
I've been thinking about implementing a school-to-home reading envelope/folder and your post is just the inspiration I needed to JUST DO IT! Thanks so much for the thorough post and freebie! Gratefully, ~Jennifer Stories and Songs in Second
Great post, I love your sit spots too! I love the idea of clipping their name on the basket that has their leveled books. I may consider organizing my classroom library this way since we are moving to lexiles. I also did the take home books like you did when we used the Rigby system and had Rigby books for that purpose. I'm at a new school now so I don't do it anymore. Glad you're having so much success with it, looks fantastic! Kristen
Great post, Elyse! I also do Daily 5 in my classroom and a home-school reading program, so I love to get sneak peaks at how other teachers set it up!
